1.Balance is key. Stay centered between your feet by keeping your hips and shoulders lined up with your board (imagine a minus sign instead of a plus sign).
2. Get control. Control the board with your feet and legs instead of your hips and shoulders.
3. Speed up, slow down. Use different turn shapes to control your speed. Pointing the nose of the board across a hill will help slow you down.
4. Adopt a low, athletic stance. Use your knees and ankles to absorb changes in the terrain and have a smoother, more controlled ride.
