Nevada’s oldest & largest state park was dedicated in 1935. Valley of Fire got its name from the red sandstone formations found throughout the park. Some of the more popular formations are Arch Rock, Beehives, Elephant Rock & Seven Sisters. Most of the formations are easily accessible from the park road. Less than an hour drive from Las Vegas, with many picnic areas near the formations, Valley of Fire is a nice day trip.
